POSITION OVERVIEW

The Samsara Claims Specialist is responsible for managing and reporting on vehicle and property claims using Samsara data. This role is crucial for mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with safety and insurance regulations through precise data management and claims handling.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and analyze data from Samsara GPS and telematics to identify trends or incidents requiring attention.
  • Report and manage claims related to vehicle and property damages.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to integrate Samsara insights into safety programs.
  • Provide training on Samsara usage to relevant teams to enhance safety and compliance.
  • Maintain records of claims and their outcomes to ensure accurate reporting and facilitate audits.
  • Work with insurance providers to manage claims efficiently and effectively.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
  • Experience with Samsara platforms or similar GPS/telematics systems.
  • Strong understanding of claims processing and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The role primarily involves working in an office setting, with occasional field visits required. While in the office, the environment is controlled and generally quiet. Outdoor work may expose you to various weather conditions and physical elements such as dust and noise. Personal protective equipment is provided and required when working outdoors.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing and walking. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend as necessary. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 20 pounds. Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, employees and managers. Effective conflict resolution abilities. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Ability to read, write and do mathematics.
